1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Welcome to the website of Vision to Venture Foundation (“Foundation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website located at commonthreadhealth.org (the “Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Vision to Venture Foundation. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. ABOUT VISION TO VENTURE FOUNDATION

Vision to Venture Foundation is a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our mission is to close access gaps in health through operational philanthropy.

The Website provides information about our programs, initiatives, and opportunities to support our work. The Website is intended for general informational purposes and to facilitate engagement with the Foundation.

3. USE OF THE WEBSITE

4.1 Foundation Content

The Website and its entire contents, features, and functionality, including but not limited to all information, text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, videos, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof, are owned by Vision to Venture Foundation, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

4.2 Trademarks

The Foundation name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Vision to Venture Foundation. You may not use such marks without the prior written permission of the Foundation. “Fight Sarcoma” and related marks are also trademarks of the Foundation.

4.3 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Website for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include the right to:

  1. Modify or copy the materials on the Website.
  2. Use the materials for any commercial purpose or public display.
  3. Remove any copyright or proprietary notations from the materials.
  4. Transfer the materials to another person or mirror the materials on any other server.

5. DONATIONS

5.1 General Donation Terms

Vision to Venture Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations made to the Foundation may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donors should consult with their own tax advisors regarding the deductibility of their contributions. Our federal tax identification number (EIN) is 20-3661323. The Foundation is registered as a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation.

By making a donation through the Website, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide and that all information you submit is accurate and complete.

5.2 Use of Donations

Unless otherwise specified, all donations are considered unrestricted and will be used at the Foundation’s discretion to support our mission. If you designate a donation for a specific purpose, we will make reasonable efforts to honor that designation. However, if circumstances make it impossible or impractical to use the donation for the designated purpose, we reserve the right to redirect the donation to similar charitable purposes or our general charitable purposes and will notify you of such redirection when reasonably possible.

5.3 Refund Policy

Donations are generally non-refundable except as required by law or in cases of clear error. If you believe an error has been made with your donation (such as duplicate charges, incorrect amounts, or unauthorized transactions), please contact us at info@commonthread.org within 60 days of the transaction. We will review your request and respond within 15 business days. Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 30 days of approval.

5.4 Recurring Donations

If you set up a recurring donation, your payment method will be charged automatically at the frequency you select until you cancel. You may cancel a recurring donation at any time by contacting us at info@commonthread.org or through your account settings on the Website. Cancellations will take effect for the next scheduled donation following your cancellation request, provided you cancel at least 3 business days before the next scheduled charge. You will receive confirmation of your cancellation via email.

5.5 Donation Acknowledgment

You will receive an acknowledgment of your donation via email within 5 business days of receipt. This acknowledgment will serve as your receipt for tax purposes and will include the Foundation’s name, EIN (20-3661323), donation amount, date, and a statement that no goods or services were provided in exchange for the donation (or a description and good faith estimate of the value of any goods or services provided). Please retain it for your records. For donations of $250 or more, we will provide a contemporaneous written acknowledgment that meets IRS requirements under Section 170(f)(8) of the Internal Revenue Code.

6. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services that are not owned or controlled by Vision to Venture Foundation. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

We may use third-party payment processors to process donations. Your use of such third-party services is subject to their terms and conditions and privacy policies.

The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Vision to Venture Foundation. You access third-party websites or services at your own risk.

7. USER SUBMISSIONS

If you submit any content to the Website, including but not limited to comments, feedback, or other materials (“User Submissions”), you grant Vision to Venture Foundation a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such User Submissions in any media for purposes related to the Foundation’s charitable mission. This license shall continue for as long as the User Submissions remain on the Website and for a reasonable period thereafter as necessary for the Foundation’s operations. You may request the removal of your User Submissions by contacting us at info@commonthreadhealth.org.

You represent and warrant that you own or control all rights to your User Submissions and that your User Submissions do not violate any applicable law or infringe any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to remove any User Submissions at our sole discretion without notice.

THIS LIMITATION SHALL NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY ARISING FROM GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, FRAUD, OR VIOLATIONS OF APPLICABLE LAW THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY CONTRACT.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vision to Venture Foundation, its directors, officers, employees, agents, volunteers, and affiliates from and against any and all third-party claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.
  • Any claim that your User Submissions caused damage to a third party.

13.2 Jurisdiction and Venue

Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Website shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pittsburgh, PA You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to venue in such courts.

13.3 Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at info@vision2venture.org. We will try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days of submission, you or the Foundation may bring a formal proceeding.

14. GENERAL PROVISIONS

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by us on the Website, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vision to Venture Foundation concerning the Website.

14.2 Severability
